Psalm 15:4 He who swears to his own hurt and does not change

Matthew 5:37 "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

We must be reliable, trusworthy, honorable people. When we give our 'Yes', people know we are going to come through. If you are asked to pick up a friend at the airport at 10 o'clock, and because you are a person of integrity and can be counted on, you are there at 9:45. You are their "go to person".

There may be times when you must honor your word even it's difficult to do so and even if it cost you more than you want to pay. Godly living requires us to be men and women of our word, no matter what! My encouragement to you today is, prayerfully consider what you can or cannot commit to. The best thing to do is get wisdom from God.
